CCJ Coordinators, or subject leaders, are a group of pedagogical professionals appointed by the school Rector to assist teachers and ensure effective teaching and learning. CCJ coordinators perform several duties:
-         Assist the Rector in interviewing and selecting new teachers
-         Organize training and professional development sessions/workshops/seminars for teachers
-         Plan the curriculum with teachers (yearly, term, and weekly planning)
-         Conduct weekly meetings with teachers to ensure effective teaching and learning
-         Assist teachers in solving emerging issues and academic problems
-         Observe classes to monitor and evaluate student interaction and teacher performance
-         Monitor student assessment and progress and teacher follow-up of students falling behind 
-         Raise the quality of teaching and learning in their subject area
-         Monitor teachers’ effective use of resources and technology to promote a stimulating environment conducive to learning
